Born in 1959 in Zuni, New Mexico, Albert has been creating traditional silver jewelry since 1987. He is also a talented potter and sand painter.

This pendant features a high grade multicolored Dinosaur Bone stone surrounded by sterling silver in Albert's cold chisel design. Signed and stamped sterling.

If you’re not familiar with dino bone aka Gembone, it’s not just a marketing name. This stone actually comes from the petrified, agatized skeletal remains of dinosaurs. The borders of the “cells” you see are the trebeculae, which are the natural voids in the bones. Like birds today, dinosaur bones were partially hollow so that they were lighter relative to their massive size while still retaining their strength. Over the course of millions of years, minerals (mostly silica) slowly filled these voids and hardened into chalcedony (agate) with a variety of colors caused by differences in other minerals. Quality Gembone continues to become harder to find, and more expensive. The best of it is often polished as specimens.

Size: Pendant is 2 3/4" Tall w/bail, 1 3/4" Wide.

Bail will accommodate a necklace up to 18mm wide.
